Our Founder
Linda M. Biernacki
Linda opened her own firm, Fire Tech Systems, Inc. in September of 1990. Fire Tech Systems, Inc. provides a valuable service offering life safety needs through fire protection to commercial and industrial businesses as well as residential homes throughout six states. Her involvement in fire protection extends nationally in numerous associations. She serves on the Technical Committee with the National Fire Protection Association for the NFPA 232 Code for Record Protection, President of the Louisiana Fire Sprinkler Association, Building Owners and Managers Association Board, American Fire Sprinkler Association Board Secretary, AFSA 2018 Membership Committee Chair, Fortis Insurance Risk Control Management Committee Chair, Board Member of NICET (National Institute for Certificates in Engineering Technologies). Additional professional involvements include the Associated General Contractors and National Association of Women in Construction.
Community service evokes a strong commitment from Linda. In 2009 she was appointed by Lt. General Frank Klotz, AFGSC Commander to serve as a charter member of the Air Force Global Strike Command Civic Leader Program and continues to her serve under Four-Star General Robin Rand. Linda was inducted into the Junior Achievement of N. LA’s Business Hall of Fame which celebrates exceptional business leaders who have demonstrated a lifetime of achievement and investment in our community and was named the 2016 Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Business Leader of the Year. Only the second woman in forty years to win this distinguished honor. 2017 BizMagazine ‘s Best Places to Work and 5 Over 50 Recipient. Award honors five individuals in the community for their contribution, experience and community.
Linda is a community partner with the Sheriffs Safety Town and the Minority Supplier Institute. She is Chair of the C-100 Military Affairs Committee and served as the first woman President of the Committee of One Hundred. Appointed by Mayor Ollie Tyler she served on the City of Shreveport Architect and Engineers Selection Committee. Served on the Board of the Sci-Port Discovery Center and is a member of the Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council. Aspiring to help the local community, she established the Fire Tech Systems Scholarship Program for ambitious, young ladies whose studies involve the construction industry. Linda also partners with the Shreveport-Bossier Women in Construction to offer a scholarship through the Caddo Career & Technology Center.
Linda is a graduate from the State of Louisiana, Shreveport Bossier Vocational Technical Institute for Mechanical Drafting. Resides in Shreveport, Louisiana with her husband of thirty years, Richard. Mother of two daughters, Emily and Nikki. Both daughters are currently enrolled at Ole Miss University. Linda and her family are members of Grace Community Methodist Church.

Leadership in business
Working with Women to Reach their Potential
- Selected as one of 100 Women of the Century by the Shreveport Women’s Council.
- Current member of the Women’s Business Council of the Gulf Coast and Southwest Region and encourages women to advance in their field of expertise, by seeking out other women business owners and utilizing their services and expertise.
- National Association of Women in Construction, past president and member since 1981.
- Linda is committed to support young children by speaking at various events to encourage them of possible careers in the construction field and to be active in all community projects.
- Established “Fire Tech Systems Employee Scholarship Program” offered to ambitious and aspiring young college women to pursue engineering degrees.
- Linda also partners with the Shreveport-Bossier of Women in Construction to offer a scholarship through the Caddo Career & Technology Center.

We rented our first office
It was a 13′ x 32′ construction work trailer with no restroom.
Our first office purchase!
In 1993, Linda purchased a 5,000 square foot building west of town
Office remodel
In 1996, Linda remodeled the building to accomodate the companies growth
A New Building
In 2004, Linda built a new 6,500 square foot office/warehouse building in the Ashley Ridge Business Park.
An Additional Building
In 2020, Linda purchased the 5,000 square foot building next door to the Ashley Ridge office to expand the training center, office space, and warehouse space.
An Expansion
In 2015, Linda connected the two buildings with a 4,300 square foot addition
Continuing Education
Fostering growth in our business
Continuing education is at the forefront of our business to ensure customers receive thebest, highly trained, and knowledgeable technicians in the Fire Safety Industry. OSHAStandards and Practices; Fire Codes and Laws changes; Apprenticeship Programs for Field Personnel (certified through the AFSA); Design Certification (certified through NICET National Institute of Certification in Engineering Technologies). Along with education safety is a high priority. Fire Tech Systems, Inc. employs a Safety Director to maintain safety awareness for the company by performing monthly safety meetings, assisting foremen with weekly toolbox talks, site checks, and scheduling Training for all personnel within the company.

- Fires Sprinkler Systems – Design, fabricate, install, inspect, repair, amd maintain wet, dry, and deluge systems
- Fire Alarm and Detection – Certified Technicians analyze and recommend a complete comprehensive safety solution for your facility, install new Fire Alarm Systems, provide regualr testing, repairs, and 24-hour service of your equipment.
- Special Hazards Fire Suppression Systems – Dry Chemical, Clean Agent, Foam Systems and Kitchen Hood Systems.
- Fire Extinguishers – Inventory of fire extinguishers designed for the specific fire classification, inspection, testing and maintenance for facilities and company vehicles.
- Inspection Services – Inspection and testing for fire extinguishers, fire alarm, fire sprinkler systems, special hazard suppression systems, restaurant hood suppression systems, fire hoses, water tanks, private fire hydrants. Fire pump testing servies and foam systems testing, and analysis is available.
